In July 2007, Urbano Bistro opened its doors, with the hopes of creating a place where both visitors, and Rotorua locals alike, could come together to enjoy delicious food.
Ever since, we have proudly been serving a variety of mouth-watering dishes, featuring an inspiring combination of flavours, all in a warm, comfortable and spacious atmosphere.

FINE DINING BY NIGHT
By night, award winning fine dining is the word, with our stylish cafe transforming into an informal bistro, serving wonderfully-crafted and stunningly-presented contemporary dishes, complete with what we’ve been told are “out of this world explosions of flavour”.
Chicken, pork, venison, beef, lamb, duck and fresh fish feature on the main menu, and our constantly-changing daily specials make dining with us an exciting experience for both Rotorua locals and visitors.
We also have an impressive wine list, as well as a ‘little person’s menu’, which caters to the children in your life.
Our relaxed, contemporary decor makes our fine dining restaurant suitable for casual and intimate dining, business meetings, family and corporate functions, and everything in between.

“Loved our evening dining experience at Urbano. Greeted by welcoming wait person and promptly shown to table. For a main I chose pork belly and my partner steak. Full marks on both. The restaurant was very busy but this didn't detract from the service quality, food standard or wait time. Nice buzzy atmosphere and it was evident everyone was enjoying themselves.
